Norcal Premier Player Development Program Lands Players Training opportunities at Italian Serie “A” Club Vicenza
Two players have been invited to a professional youth training camp in Italy after being scouted at the Norcal Premier Player Development Program (PDP) training sessions held last August. Vicenza Calico, an Italian Professional Soccer Club,  had two coaches in attendance at the PDP training sessions. The coaches identified Tommy Thompson of Placer United and Kendall Mckintosh of Santa Rosa United after watching trainings and games.
The two players will be in Italy from August 19th until September 1st. They will attend a preseason training camp in the mountains for four days before playing friendly games and continuing to train with the teams in their age groups. The players will stay with a Italian family during their stay.  If the players impress the club during their stay they will either be invited to live in Italy or at least travel to the club a few times a year.
Norcal Premier Soccer began an official cooperation with Vicenza last summer after inviting two coaches over to watch training sessions and games for the PDP 92-93-94 boys player pools.

In 2007, Norcal Premier Soccer has expanded the cooperation to include a second Italian Club Padova Calcio as well as Mexican giants Chivas Guadalajara and MLS Club Chivas USA. Each club is sending coaches to the 2007 PDP Training Camp held, for selected players, at Sonoma State University this August.
