Cal North's South San Jose San Juan Ruckus headed to USYSA Nationals Print E-mail
on 23 Jul 2007
Only in the United States could a collection of players from colleges around the state  come together, for a short time, to compete in the oldest Youth National Championship in the country. The team is the South San Jose San Juan Ruckus - they are the only team without a club website. Why.......? Because they do not have a club.

The report from Top Drawer Soccer reads:

"U19 Boys: San Juan Ruckus (CN) 1-0 SD Surf White (CS)
The U19 San Juan Ruckus will finally get to make their run at a national championship as they found a goal with 10 minutes remaining to knock off their southern partners. In the 85th minute a long ball was sent in from half field, flicked over the Surf defense, and finished into the far post for the only goal of the game.
"

The USYSA page is great.......click here to read more.

Congrats to the players and Billy Wiskel for putting together a great run.......we hope it continues!
