Avram Grant, the Chelsea manager, grew up with the nightmare of the appalling deaths his family had suffered during the Holocaust, his father has revealed. Grant knew nothing of their fate until one night, aged 15, he heard his father screaming in his sleep and rushed into his room to find that he was having a bad dream.
