  Congratulations to the U-14 BR team for winning the U-14 Boys Super Group US Club Soccer National Championship  

   California Odyssey SC would like to congratulate the U-15 BR team (still U-14 BR through this Summer) for winning the U-14 Boys Super Group US Club Soccer National Championship this morning (7/29/08) in Virginia Beach, VA.

    The team defeated the Olney Rangers (Maryland) in the Final in PKs. The score at the end of regulation and OT was 0-0 and the boys outscored Olney by the score of 4-2 in PKs. The team played very well and were very unfortunate not to score in regulation or OT.

    The team advanced out of their group with a record of 2 wins and 1 loss. The team lost their first match against Buffalo United White (New York) by the score of 1-2, but rebounded with convincing victories over the Houstonians (Texas), 3-1, and Los Alamitos Vikings (Cal-South), 4-0.

    This is California Odyssey's third National Championship in a little over 6 years of existence. In 2006, the U-13 Boys won the Super Y-League National Championship in Tampa, Florida and in 2007, the U-15 Girls won the US Club National Championship in Greensboro, North Carolina.

   Congratulations again to the U-15 Boys Red team for their accomplishment!
