CAIRO (AP) -- There's plenty of opinion on how the United States plays soccer, but one thing is certain: They are erratic.

Take the Under-20 World Cup being played in Egypt.

Their group games ended Friday with a typical rollercoaster record. A 3-0 loss to Germany was followed by a 4-1 win over Cameroon, followed by another 3-0 defeat to South Korea.
