Dallas Texans Academy is offered to U7-8-9-10 year olds - in seven different divisions played throughout the Dallas - Fort Worth area

The DALLAS TEXANS ACADEMY program is committed to player development on and off the field.  We not only focus on soccer skills and knowledge of the game, but we emphasize self esteem and emotional well-being are as well. 

 

The Dallas Texans Soccer Academy Program concentrates on the following goals and objectives.

  • A stress-free atmosphere to expose players to the game
  • Emphasize skill development
  • A competitive environment that encourages players to flourish while focusing on skill development
  • Emphasis on quality and long-term benefits rather than short-term gain.
  • An age-appropriate development process
  • An educational atmosphere for players and parents concerning club values 

While the Academy Program functions in a competitive atmosphere, competition is not the foremost focus.  We urge our coaches and parents to give each player continuous support based upon each individual player's needs.  Parents should expect there to be changes in levels of play as the player(s) mature. 

 

Important Points About The
Dallas Texans' Academy

  • Gives the players the opportunity to work with coaches that coach Dallas Texans teams at the select level.
     
  • Playing with the Dallas Texans' Academy Team in no way commits you to joining the Dallas Texans Soccer Club.  Participating on the Academy Team is an experience for YOUR development.

  • Players have the right to participate on as many Academy teams as they want.  Our coaching staff embraces this philosophy.

 

The DALLAS TEXANS ACADEMY TEAM provides the developmental bridge between recreational soccer and select soccer. The DALLAS TEXANS ACADEMY focuses on development of the player.  The DALLAS TEXANS ACADEMY TEAMS register in the PAL (Premiere Academy League) to provide the most advantageous environment for player development. Academy teams begin forming in August and play year round until July. The year is split into three seasons --

 

 

The Academy teams are divided into 4 age divisions:

Under 10 (born between August 1, 1996 and July 31, 1997)
Under 9   (born between August 1, 1997 and July 31, 1998)

Under 8   (born between August 1, 1998 and July 31, 1999)
Under 7   (born between August 1, 1999 and July 31, 2000)

 

   U7 - U8  players may participate in training and skills practice only. 

 

Details:

  • Academy Team Uniform package (Not Included in Season Fee)
         ($40) includes:
    (1) Nike red jersey
    (1) Nike red short
    (1) Nike red socks,
    (1) white alternate t-shirt
    Uniform Package is Purchased Individually at Soccer Corner in Plano

Academy Program Includes:

  • One Training Session Per Week

  • One League Game Per Week

  • Professional Coaching

  • Players should wear White Shirt, Red Shorts, and White Socks to all training sessions

Fall Season (August, September, October, November)
 

Winter Session (December, January, February) Indoor
 

Spring Season (February, March, April, May)
