The Guiness Book of World Record is reputedly looking at awarding a California Soccer Club an award. It seems it's team competed in the Danville Mustang Winter Classic and won - using players from 14 different clubs.

"This is great", yelled head coach Pim Steevens after the game, " We won our club's first Danville event ever. This is a testament to working hard.....In the Norcal Cup, I used 6 guest players and we almost won the premier flight.....I knew we had to get stronger if we want to develop our players and get em ready for state cup."

The team members, assembled from various soccer clubs from around the state, proudly displayed their awards after the final match. When questioned about the victory the team captain wrapped her arm around a fellow teammate and exclaimed, " Jenny.....I mean Trudy.......I mean Gabby......well....this girl here was great today...without her we may not have won."

Club President Orson Welles could not contain his excitement, " Look at that thing", he exclaimed pointing at the trophy, " We are all about player development and the kids..... gotta develop them kids......You know our club has never won a trophy that size....Yep, I think were going to move up in the National Soccer Rankings.....We've been trying to get over the Colorado Minuteman Soccer Club for ages.....they are stuck at #134 in the country and we are stuck at #135...surely this victory will help... they've had them snowstorms so none of their teams could play....With this win we've shown we're an elite club.....we're gonna be a Nike Premier Club and get in the Y League for sure now....!" 

Although Coach Pim struggled to correctly identify many of the girls during the awards ceremony, he had no problems with his daughter.

" This young lady has earned alot of respect from me this weekend", he said, " Although I dropped her from the roster for the tournament, she warmed up with the team for all six games.....to get prepared for state cup coming next weekend....its the big enchillada and she's gonna be ready". 

When asked how bringing 14 guest players would help his team compete in the big one he replied," Uhhhhh............Imagine the confidence my team is going to have after winning this event.....plus the team's three players who attended this tournament are going to be fit...they got to warmup six times and each of them played a few minutes......the great thing is most my players got to rest this weekend and I used 14 different club's stars....they are gonna be fried after six games.... I love it"

" I wanna thank US CLub Soccer....without them I could not guest play 14 players....I wanna thank our club for assisting me in building this team.....making all those transfers took some effort....... and I wanna thank Emma Johnson for making the name tags so that the girls could communicate on the field....." yelled Coach Pim over his daughter's wailing.
